Observe & Quantify

MFA Studio

Brief

A series of nine 11 × 17 inch prints and one 34 × 52 inch poster exploring collection, categorization, and unpredictability through scanned bead compositions. Tasked with translating raw material into a visual system, I used 66 beads as individual data points, embracing accidental distortions and layered textures in the prints while organizing each bead by color, name, origin, and transparency within a structured large-scale poster composition.
